Swiss Cheese Dip

Hot Swiss Cheese Dip with two types of cheese, sour cream, bacon, and green onion, topped with crackers is a perfect appetizer for your next tailgate, or party.

Ingredients
 

  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature *See note
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Swiss cheese
  • 6 slices cooked bacon crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup crumbled Ritz Crackers

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F, and prepare a 1 ½ quart baking dish by spraying it with cooking spray.
  • Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, Swiss cheese, bacon, onion, and black pepper together in a medium bowl and blend well.
  • Spread mixture into prepared dish. Sprinkle crushed crackers over the top.
  • Bake for 15 - 18 minutes. Serve with toasted baguette, crackers and freshly cut vegetables.

Notes

  • An 8 X 8-inch baking dish can be used, but know that the contents will not fill it.
  • You can use reduced fat cream cheese and reduced fat Swiss cheese if you'd like to reduce the calories.
