We finally made it up to Indianapolis! Only three days into our move it was our one year anniversary. We were pretty excited that we are starting off our 2nd year of marriage in a new city together. This city has some amazing restaurants which of course has me so
giddy. So since I always post my menus for the week I thought I would start blogging about all the food journeys we are about to embark on. For our anniversary night we went to a wine bar called Tastings which was so much fun. They had about 8 different high top tables each with 10-15 different kinds of wine hooked up to taps. You put in a little card and select the wine you want and get a little tasting for a certain price. What a fun experience! After that we went to Capital Grille and walked into a room with a table covered in rose petals. The
four course meal was amazing and they even gave us two desserts and champagne on the house.
When John and I were in Italy a few years ago we had a bottle of red wine from the year 1999.
At our dinner we found a similar red from ’99 and we knew we had to get it.
Peppered Calamari. Our waiter said Danny Devito was in the restaurant Super Bowl weekend
and had this because he loves spicy stuff. And it was spicy!
My favorite soup in the entire world, Lobster Bisque.
I can’t believe I forgot to take a picture of it but we both ordered the Dry Aged Steak Au Poivre with a Courvoisier Cream Sauce that was decadent.
Champagne for toasting in the new year.
And then dessert to finish the amazing evening off!

Three Alarm Italian Style Chili Mac w/ Baked Potaotes and Sausage-Arugula Sauce
Fried Green Tomato BLT w/ Shrimp Remoulade
