I love music & I love listening to the different genres and memories it takes me back to. Some of my first memories of music are with my dad listening to Phil Spector’s Box Set Album Back to Mono with hits from The Ronettes- Be My Baby, The Crystals- Then He Kissed Me, and and Darlene Love- A Fine, Fine Boy. My dad also bought we one of my favorite one of my first cds of Motown. I had quite a few dances to the Supremes. Well to be honest, rewind a few years and my real first music debut was singing Aladdin’s A Whole New World in the car over and over again. Did I mention that I only knew three or four lines? Man, my parents loved me so much to endure that! Fast forward a few years when I got into dance and I was a little older listening to music like Gloria Estefan’s Congo playing throughout the house. Or in middle school my best friend Mika and I would pretend to be Mariah Carey and Celine Dion listening to all of their albums. And trust me we had ALL of them. Then by the time high school rolled around my music taste changed quite a bit to one of my favorite bands Linkin Park. I know, total change of pace, but it works for me. Who knows why? It pumps me and calms me down all at the same time! And 12 years later we are going to one of their concerts up in Indy. Another one of my favorite memories of music was my senior year in high school going to a Brooks and Dunn, Rascal Flatts, and Brad Paisley concert with my best friend Sarah and our dads. And to baffle you even more with my music taste John and I recently went to a Jimmy Buffet concert. I have to admit it wasn’t my favorite concert but it was soo much fun to people watch. And because of that concert it led me to baking so in honor of Jimmy Buffett I made these yummy Margarita cupcakes.
