BBQ Shrimp & Smoked Gouda Grits
For BBQ sauce:
1 lemon
1 c. butter, melted
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbsp. Old Bay
1 tsp. rosemary
1 tsp. thyme
2 lb. cooked shrimp
For Grits:
6 c. chicken broth
2 c. milk
2 c. grits, uncooked
oz. gouda cheese, cut up
3 Tbsp. butter
1. Bring broth and milk to a boil. Whisk in grits.
2. When cooked, add butter and cheese. Simmer until melted.
3. Melt butter, add shrimp. Let it the shrimp be coated in butter for 1 min.
4. Add all the BBQ sauce ingredients. Simmer for 1 min. Then add to grits without the extra sauce (unless you want a different spin on the recipe)
I served this with a Fried Green Tomato & Arugula Salad
