It’s time to for another Foodie Pen Pal package reveal day. This month I was sent a package from Cali who lives in Oregon. Instead of responding with my normal love of Mexican and Italian cuisine and I hate olives and pickles. I told her I love trying new things and since I have never been to Oregon would love to try anything local and almost everything that she sent me was! So here’s what she sent.
We all know I love tea!! The Pukka Love was great and such a calming tea. Can’t wait to add these to my tea drawer.
I got a chocolate+coconut bar and a chocolate+peanut butter bar-pretty excited! But I got even more excited about the Chocolate Pretzel bar because a couple of weekends ago John and I went to the movies I got the pretzel M&Ms. And rarely do I ever want candy or popcorn I only want the $5 water which John refuses to buy half of the time because it’s just water. But he got his large popcorn and soda and I decided to try out the pretzel M&Ms. Now these might have been out for awhile but trust me I don’t ever eat candy. So when I got this bar I tore right into it because it is such a salty & sweet combination that I love!
Have I mentioned how much Foodie Pen Pals has gotten me into Almond Butter? Such a different flavor but I love having that with a banana and glass of milk in the morning.
And last but not least the Pear Hazelnut Fruit Pate. I haven’t tried this one yet but am pretty interested in tasting the flavors because the combination sounds great. And it’s from a local farm in Indiana.
Thanks Cali!!
If you want to get involved here’s how the whole she-bang works:
-On the 5th of the month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination! -You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you can choose to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month. – Foodie Penpals is open to US, Canadian residents & UK residents.
