And Hello Birmingham – yes I know we have been back for about 2 1/2 weeks now so I thought it’s time to get back into the swing of things…Blogging that is.
I thought about saying “I’m Baaack” and then realized it was from The Shining – no way jose! But I have to admit being back is a little bittersweet…to Birmingham that is not blogging.
I will definitely miss the Broad Ripple Farmers Market and City Market the most I think. I remember when I first moved to Indianapolis and we were living downtown the first thing I looked up was where a farmers market was. And every single Saturday that is where you could find me. And even after John Grayson was born we started making it a family outing.
Indy is the place that started my love for juicing.
Indy turned me into a pro sports fan! We now love the Colts
and the Pacers
and even the Indy 500!
This is where John and I dove head first into all the tapas restaurants they had to offer – like Barcelona Tapas which helped me to perfect my Red Wine Sangria and my Black Bean Soup.
And right before we moved we tried out Divvy which John can’t wait to remake the Bruléed Gorgonzola Strip Steak with Ruby Port Reduction.
And our all time favorite spot – Goose! What is better than a one stop shop for your wine, meat, cheese, and gelato!!
We got to go to some amazing concerts like Jimmy Buffet, Linkin Park, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Bruno Mars….the list goes on
But our all time favorite venue had to be Symphony on the Prairie
We made some amazing friends while we were there! And the best part is some of them are now back in Alabama with us – who would have thought?!
But the best gift of all was this little guy – I can’t believe he is already 6 months
Even though the Indy chapter of our life has come to an end we made some amazing memories in the place that was our home for three years. Indiana will always have such a special place in our hearts!
So goodbye Indy winters (yes it snowed one final time for us before we left and now I am sitting it 70 degree weather in December). Let the new chapter begin and now let the real dinner parties start!!
