I have always loved potatoes and how many different things you can do with them. For breakfast, use them for hashbrowns, for lunch make a sandwich with potato bread, and for dinner you can have them as a side or make them part of the main dish. Here are a few of my favorite ways to eat them.
My Loaded Potato Soup (which I haven’t quite perfected the consistency yet).
But if I can do a restaurant remake from the one at Houston’s I’d be thrilled.
Then there are my Mama’s Twice Baked Potatoes. I try and try again but can never make them the way she does.
One of my new favorite sandwich recipes I tried out recently was a Loaded Baked Potato Grilled Cheese, Thank you A Southern Fairy Tale for introducing me to potato bread and this sandwich!! Recipe below.
And of course, my go to side dish that I mentioned in my last post that makes an appearance at all holidays and a lot of dinner parties, my Three Cheese Mashed Potatoes.

- 4 Slices of country potato bread I used rosemary potato bread
- 2 slices of bacon per sandwich
- 1 tsp. chopped green onions
- Cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Butter
