Best Things I Ate in October

Whether going out to eat for that one meal that just hits the spot, or cooking a recipe that you haven’t cooked in a while and tasting just as good as you remember it, or finding a new creative recipe, these all encompass the best things I ate in October.
I used to cook this Creamy Cajun Pasta Jambalayaall the time when John was in Auburn. When I made it a few weeks ago it took us right back to some of those great memories.

John could eat at the same restaurant two weeks in a row. I like to be a little more adventurous and try new ones every chance I get. When we ate at Zest last month who would have thought I would choose to eat at the same restaurant again just to have these Chicken & Waffles: White Cheddar Scallion Waffles with French Country Dijon Gravy, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Asparagus. Yes we literally went one week later for my birthday dinner because all I could think about was this entree.

I don’t know what got me more excited about this new pizza, if it was making pizza dough for the first time from scratch or this crazy yummy combination of Brussels sprouts, bacon, and goat cheese to top it off.
