I used to love smoothies when I was younger but rarely did I make them myself. Most of the time it meant going to Smoothie King as I got older. But as I started getting into juicing I decided since I have substituted some of my lunches for juices I should incorporate some smoothies into my breakfast instead of just my plain ol’ banana and chai tea.
Luckily cherries are in season. Aren’t they beautiful?
The health benefits of this smoothie are great too! The cherries are antibacterial, antioxidant, and anticancer. The ground flax seed helps stimulate digestion, helps joints, and prevents absorption of toxins. The Greek yogurt lowers blood cholesterol and is antibacterial and antiulcer. And then the almond milk is high in antioxidants & heart healthy. Now if theseyummy ingredients don’t pull you in to trying this smoothie, surely the health benefits will!
