Blue Moon Pulled Pork

To kick off Beer Month I thought what is better than meat and beer?! I know my husband would say nothing! I rarely cook with pork. Why you might ask? I am not sure because when I do I love it! Take my Spicy Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork for example – it is always a huge hit when I make it. So I used that as my inspiration!

I chose Blue Moon Belgian Ale because of the sweet orange flavor. The notes of citrus and a hint of spice really make the pork POP! So feel free to have the pulled pork with some baked beans or make the pulled pork into a sandwich with some BBQ sauce. Both recipes are below!

Ingredients
3/4 c. pulled pork (for 1 sandwich)
1/8 c. your favorite bbq sauce
1 Tbsp. Blue Moon
Hamburger buns
White cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions
1. Whisk your favorite BBQ sauce and Blue Moon together in small mixing bowl.
2. Add pork to sauce mixture and stir together until fully incorporated.
3. Place the pork on the bottom hamburger bun. Top with a few slices of cheese (optional), then add the top of the bun.

Other Option: If you don’t like cheese with your pulled pork feel free to add some creamy & tangy coleslaw.

Stay tuned for another Beer recipe later this week!

What a great idea! I’m not a huge fan of Blue Moon, but I think this is an excellent use of it – you’re right about the sweetness and citrus being a perfect pairing for pork. Glad to find you through Beer Month! Cheers!
