It’s that time of year where Pinterest is covered with all things pumpkin, apple and chili. And luckily, I am okay with that.

One of my favorite things about Fall is the cozy appetizers and drinks with friends.

And one thing you can always count on is a perfect sangria to fit the season –a spring sangria with strawberries and basil,  a summer sangria full of melons, a winter sangria with cherries and plums or this fall sangria just in time for the holidays. This apple cider based cocktail has the perfect touch of cinnamon, fresh apples and crisp white wine!

Sangria Ingredients

Apple Sangria Ingredients

  • White Wine
I suggest Pinot Grigio as the white wine used in this Cider Sangria. This is a crisp, light and dry white wine that pairs beautifully with the freshness of the fruit.
  • Apple
  • Pear
  • Apple Cider
Apple Cider is a perishable drink made from apple juice. The apple cider adds the silky and smooth flavors to the Sangria.
  • Club Soda
The Club Soda adds the salty aspect to this Sangria recipe. It’s a great mixer because of its pop of carbonation.
  • Brandy
Brandy is a liquor produced by distilled wine.
The brandy in this Apple Cider Sangria fortifies the other flavors with its sweetness and alcohol.
You could absolutely add Bourbon whiskey, Rum, or Tequila as well.
If Bourbon is what you’re searching for, here is a Brown Sugar Bourbon Cocktail!
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Sugar
The cinnamon sugar rim on the glass is the perfect finish to this cozy cocktail. Stir in a cinnamon stick for that extra touch to make this drink even more flavorful and festive!

What is Sangria?

Sangria is a mixed alcoholic drink that originates from Spain.
It usually includes red or white wine with fruit juice included.
This recipe includes apple cider as the juice, paired with white wine.

Can I make this Apple Cider Sangria ahead of time?

Yes! It’s best if you make it sit overnight but you could prepare it 5 hours ahead of time as well.
